For some reason, when I have lots to do to prepare for some big(gish) event, I seem to need to do something that is completely counterproductive to my preparation for said event, and (more importantly) takes up an enormous amount of time. Enter blogging...and book reviews. Oh, I could do it later - say, after the event in question is behind me - but no, I'm compelled to do it now! Thus, the birth of today's blog entry.
I'm an avid reader, and since there is no rhyme or reason to the content of my posts (thus far), I thought I would invite everyone to take a look at http://www.goodreads.com/. It's a great website for tracking your reading (I have my booklist there), and a tremendous source of reading recommendations. Take a look around...sign in...friend me (lwspotts), or comment here and let me know you're there. I review most all the books I read on that site, though from time to time I might post them here as well (if the book is really worthy).
